Jonathan Brass has been working in the food security sector for the past 14 years. He joined OXFAM in 2005 and has since then been closely involved in the development of cash transfer and market-based responses in emergencies. After 2 years as the Livelihoods Coordinator of Oxfam's governance programme in Myanmar, he returned to the humanitarian sector, now working part time for Oxfam and most recently supporting cash coordination in Yemen. Building on his extensive experience in cash programmes implementation and corrdination, Jonathan shares in this article his reflections on the opportunities and challenges of cash coordination.
